Being a Vancouver based company, the majority of the MakeGood Team members here read the Metro Newspaper.
And what did we see on the front page? GOATS FOR GOLD!!
AWESOME IDEA! Fantastic cause!
(Excerpt from the Metro)
“Joel and Danny Nagtegaal have launched an innovative campaign that combines patriotism and philanthropy, encouraging Canadians to buy a goat for a needy African family for each Gold Medal we win in the Games
The charity is a spinoff of Goat Canucks Goat, which Joel started last spring to buy a goat for each playoff game the Canucks won….Their goal was 16 goats, but they wound up with 1,073.”

Why Goats? (according to CRWRC)
When disasters or conflicts occur, families are often forced to flee, leaving everything. Sometimes they live in camps for years. Once their land is safe again, CRWRC helps the family to return. Unfortunately, all too often the conflict or disaster that destroyed a family’s possessions also destroyed their livelihood. One of the most precious commodities can be livestock. Provide a goat to help a family resettle in their land; give them a head start in rebuilding their lives.

Goat Canada Goat!
Send poor Africans healthy food, water filtration systems, medicines, seeds, tools and other donations that help them without causing animal abuse. The brothers show photos of cute goats but not the stressful transport, poor living conditions and their throats being cut. And don’t send them any sick, injured and abused goats from Langley auctions.
We can provide humane and healthy gifts to people in need without cruelty to animals.
